Knives

A functional knife is critical to all successful hunts. Whether it’s a folding or a fixed blade depends solely on individual choice. Except during hunting season, you don’t see many people carrying fixed blade knives in public; you see more folding blade knives in leather pouches.
This is partially due to legal requirements; but, also, thanks to today’s methods of heat treating and blade technology, longer is not necessarily better than shorter. Folding blade knives are also good for protection and in just about every outdoor situation for which a knife is necessary.
No matter which you prefer, a fixed blade or folding blade, you can get a-lot for your money. With today’s sophisticated materials and designs, you should be able to purchase a product that will last a LIFE TIME!

I’m going to bookmark this blogg on Identica to get more traffic for you.
Thanks Angelo, every little bit helps!
Thanks for the effort and interesting blog entry.
Enjoyed the post. I will make sure to link to you from my blog.
Interesting article. Were did you got all the information from…
Reference your question, presumably it was on “Knives”. Most of the article was based on personal opinion and the powers of observation/common sense. I did read an article, think it was ” Field & Stream” about the impact that Titanium has had on anti-corrosion and strength-to-weight ratios of all metals. They claim it makes metal as strong as some steels but 45% lighter. If you want specifics, you might try Google/Bing/Yahoo. Thanks for the interest!
Nice finding here… wasnt’ aware of that a blog on this topic existed, thanks admin.
Not a bad blog, pretty free with the info. Thanks
I’m looking for a good hunting knife and was leaning towards selecting a fixed blade. However, after reading your post, I think I’ll get a folding blade. Considering all, it would probably serve me better – thanks for the info.
I’m not sure that I understand this. I might actually need some direction.
I am always searching online for articles that can help me. This Blog provides good, practical, and realistic information. Thank you
What you say is very true. I own both fixed and folding blade knives. There is nothing that I can do with a fixed that I can’t do with a folding blade. I actually prefer a folding blade knife because it’s more comfortable, and I can take it more places without people commenting or taking notice – good post …
I’m in the market for a knife, and ininitially thought I wanted a fixed blade. But, after reading your post, I’m now leaning towards a folding blade. Thanks for the insight.
